“We may be a small country, but we’re a great one too. Country of Shakespeare, Churchill, The Beatles, Sean Connery, Harry Potter, David Beckham’s right foot, David Beckham’s left foot come to that”.
Beautiful. Although, how small are we, really? In terms of island state population to size ratio, we rank overall ninth place in the world while our tourism industry ranks eighth according to figures compiled by the UN’s World Tourism Organisation, and we owe that in part at least to our rich history, the Royal Family and fish and chips.
